Introducing Short Answer Pages: A Faster Way to Check Understanding

When students are working on accuracy, every second of feedback counts. Short Answer Pages give teachers a quick and flexible way to assign questions with clearly defined correct answers—and get immediate results.

What It Is

Short Answer is a new page type designed for fast, auto-graded responses. You define what’s correct. Students type their answers, and the system evaluates their response based on the answers you set.

What It’s For

Short Answer Pages are ideal for:

• Vocabulary and grammar checks
• Target language translation practice
• Quick knowledge checks during or after a lesson
• Warm-ups and exit tickets that give students immediate feedback

You decide what counts as correct, and students get clear, instant results.

How It Works

• Add a Short Answer Page when building or editing an activity
• Set the correct answer (or leave it blank and AI will do it's thing)
• Assign the activity in Practice or Assessment mode
• Results appear in your assignment results, auto-graded

For users on the Free Plan or with Core or Advanced seats on the Team Plan, each Short Answer Page uses one AI credit per classroom assigned. Unlimited seats and Organization Plans are not subject to credit usage.
