How to Turn a Quizlet Set into a Speaking Exercise or Assignment

You can now turn a Quizlet set into a Listen & Repeat activity in seconds using Speakable’s Bulk Creator. Just paste, preview, and assign.

Creating a Listen & Repeat activity from a Quizlet set is now faster and easier using Speakable’s Bulk Creator. Follow the steps below to quickly build and assign an interactive, auto-graded speaking assignment.

Step 1: Select Page Type

From your dashboard, click on Bulk Create.
On the first screen, select Listen & Repeat from the list of page types.

Step 2: Paste Your Quizlet Set

In Quizlet:

  • Open your set.
  • Click Export, then Copy Text to your clipboard.
From the export modal, select copy to copy the set to your clipboard.

In Speakable:

  1. Paste the content into the import box.
  2. Choose your target language (e.g., Spanish).
  3. Adjust settings like leniency or points if needed.
  4. Click Add to populate your activity with the copied terms.

Click Next: Preview & Customize to move to the final step.

Step 3: Preview and Customize

You’ll now see a full preview of your imported content:

  • Each term and its translation
  • Verification status
  • Repeat times, leniency, and points

From here, you can:

  • Edit individual items or in bulk
  • Adjust points or repeat settings
  • Add or revise translations
  • Add images

Step 4: Create Pages and Assign

Once you’ve finished reviewing and editing:

  • Click Create Pages to finalize the activity.
  • You’ll be taken into the Builder, where you can:
    • Edit the activity name, image, and description
    • Preview the full set
    • Assign it to students with a single click
